How old were you when you had your first "official" boyfriend or girlfriend? What was he/she like?
My first "official" boyfriend was in 6th grade. I was 11.
His name was Shawn Winn.
We had some classes together and he asked me out in PE.
He was pretty adorable and he had dimples. He played football, basketball and baseball.
We would hold hands and sit next to each other at lunch. I would sit at the "boy" table so that we could eat together except I wouldn't eat in front of him.
He was my first kiss... it was valentines day of like 99 or something. he got me a necklace and some candy and a balloon. After school we walked out front together and he leaned in to kiss me I kept my mouth closed and he opened his, it was moderately disastrous.
we dated on and off for 3 years all through 6th 7th and 8th grade but we never dated again through high school.
we learned a lot from each other and explored a lot about each other. I let him touch my boobs and kiss me with his tongue.
he let me have one of his sweatshirts with a football on it and I lived in it for about a month.
it was a very young and innocent thing. we told each other that we loved each other but we really didn't. We were just twelve year olds in awkward clumsy emotional stages. He liked to skateboard and he was pretty funny.
My first girlfriend was when I was 18 years old.
Her name was Stefani and we met in college.
we had a class together and I thought she was an adorable little thing.
I was straight and she was very gay.
we started hanging out and it became a little bit obsessive. I had never been around a lesbian. I had never known one as a friend and my feelings got out of control. I had strange feelings for her that I had never experienced with another girl. We fell hard and fast. too hard and fast. we moved in together right away... I came out to my family. everything was a big jumble of crazy.
Stefani cheated on me a lot and I moved to New Mexico to be with her but we didn't make it. because I was in love with another girl.
she was jewish and liked skateboarding and video games. She's a film major and loves animals.
What's the one thing you're most neurotic about?
Neurotic is my middle name.
Ok it's actually Elizabeth.
But honestly, the amount of things I'm neurotic about is really high. I'm going to talk about this topic off of the top of my head.
The word Neurotic refers to any mental imbalance that causes distress.
When I am in bed laying down I am neurotic about a multitude of things.
If my hair is touching my back or shoulders in any way it causes me great distress.
if the bottom of my pillow hits anywhere above my shoulders. it has to come right there in my neck/shoulder space.
if the blankets aren't pulled up to my neck, over my shoulders I get really freaked out.
if my sheets, memory foam, pillow, or blankets are out of place.
if skin is touching skin. whether it's my skin on my own skin or someone elses skin on my own.
if I'm wearing underwear or pants.
wow I sound absolutely insane.
When I am sitting on the couch and the cushions are sliding out and/or touching the back of my calves. omg.
when I light a candle I cannot just let it burn, I have to push the sides of the wax down to be level with the rest.
When I use the bathroom I have to either pull my shirt up over my stomach or take it off completely.
there you have it.
my top few neurotic tendencies.
Love Heather
xoxo
What compliment are you most often given?
This Question of the day seems a little conceited.
to write a whole blog about your best features. TADA look at me :D aren't I cool?
whatever.
The compliment most often given to me has varied throughout my life.
as a child I was constantly complimented on my eyes and hair.
Growing up, my mother wouldn't allow me to cut my hair and I have very fast growing hair so
by the time I was about 5 my hair was down to where I could sit on it.
I also am blessed/cursed with GIANT green eyes.
I have grown into them by now but as a child my eyes were very big for my face and very noticeable.
Strangers would always come up to me and tell me that I had beautiful hair and gorgeous eyes.
as I've gotten older I've cut and dyed my hair and it's less than fabulous now.
although I lost my hair I've kept my gorgeous eyes and gained style :D
now I am mostly complimented on my eyes.
it's not as noticeable now... people will look at me for awhile and say
wow you have really beautiful eyes.
or Is that eye color real? Ive never seen such light eyes on such a dark haired person.
People also compliment me on my shoes or purses or clothes :D
woohooo
conceited blog.
You love it.

What's the meanest thing you've ever said to someone?
I'm not sure how someone is supposed to come up with the meanest thing they have ever said to someone and blog about it.
Maybe it's just me.
I really don't know what the meanest thing I've said to someone is.
It would depend on the feeling at the time, the way that it affected the other person and numerous other variables.
I can however think of some mean things that I have said to people and the way that it made me feel.
1. Once in 5th grade I was sitting at a table with this other girl, Ashlynn. Ashlynn and I were talking and gossiping and such when all of a sudden she asked me if I like Amanda.
Amanda was the fat girl that everybody made fun of. Our parents were friends and we were pretty good friends but I was embarrassed because the other kids made fun of her and I didn't want to be the friend of the fat girl that nobody liked. I said no.
Amanda was standing behind us... Ashlynn knew that she was and said that to trick me. This instance may be one of the meanest things done to me as well as to Amanda.
Later we became best friends and are still close.
2. I hate you.
those three little words can be the worst thing you can ever say to someone.
It's funny because the almost identical set of three little words could also be the best thing that you can ever say to someone.
I can remember numerous times during my childhood that I've told someone very important to me that I hate them.
My little sister Destini.
Siblings fighting is completely natural.
little did I know growing up that that little girl would grow up and be my best friend, the one that I tell secrets too, we have everything in common, we make each other laugh and cry.
I love her with all my heart.
looking back, the thought of me ever saying to Destini "I hate you" breaks my heart.
3. A few weeks ago I told my girlfriend Mavica to shut up.
...
it seems so insignificant but I feel so horribly about it.
Mavica is such a beautiful and sweet person.
I never want her to shut up.
She deserves to speak and be heard.
and I want to be the one to hear her always.
That was probably the meanest thing that I've ever said to her and I'm so sorry.
